Life is like dark chocolates.

While doing my work, i suddenly remebered that i still had some dark chocolates stored away in my food supply drawer. Talking about dark chocolates, i don't have a real dislike or liking towards it cause it bitter and a bit bland. But just now as i broke of a little square piece of that large bar and put it in my mouth, I try to savour every little taste of it. Maybe due to the emotions that i have gone through yesterday night, i had a whole new experience of tasting dark chocolate.

I rest my head against the chairback, close my eyes, and slowly suckled at the chocolate. It tasted bitter as usual but as it starts to melt in my mouth there was a very mild sweetness which sorts of blends into that bitterness. What more of an appropriate word than 'bittersweet' to describe the whole tasting experience. The taste still lingers around my mouth and in my mind. I would say from that experience onwards i am deeply in love with dark chocolate.

I guess the reason why people love dark chocolate is because they can relate the taste closely with life. It is a very bitter life out there now with the economic's recession and other unhappy things that occur along the way but try to slow down and appreciate all the goods things that had happen and you will find the little sweetness in your life. It is those little sweetness that makes the bitter bearable and with this you will go far.

On this this hot and humid night, i wasn't able to drift off to dreamland as usual. Something kept bugging me at the back of my mind. As i toss and turn on my bed, I asked myself what have i acheived. 'NOTHING' comes to mind. Nothing......... my mind was blank.

I once had a dream, and to tell you the truth i was better off than all of my friends during my schooling days. Well not filthy rich but above average. However, up till this point of my life i'm staying where i am, not going anywhere, while all my other friends have pursue far ahead of me! I feel like i'm neither here nor there. I couldn't pursue my dreams, i've been burden by responsibilities that i've never thought off....etc. (a lot more that i can't really take it off my chest) The more i'm updated with what's happening around me the more i feel insignificant, a very tiny insignificant fool. i can picture myself sitting in front of a window watching as the days past by...... from dawn till dusk......then from dusk back to dawn.............days, weeks, months, years and decades past by........... what will become of me?

Are We Old Yet???
(If this happens to you then you know you're already there.)

Garage Door

The boss walked into the office one morning not knowing his zipper was down and his fly area wide open.

His assistant walked up to him and said,
'This morning when you left your house, did you close your garage door?'

The boss told her he knew he'd closed the garage door, and walked into his office puzzled by the question. As he finished his paperwork, he suddenly noticed his fly was open, and zipped it up. He then understood his assistant's question about his 'garage door.'

He headed out for a cup of coffee and paused by her desk to ask,
'When my garage door was open, did you see my Hummer parked in there?'

She smiled and said,
'No, I didn't. All I saw was an old mini van with two flat tires.'

Miscommunication

Three old guys are out walking.
First one says, 'Windy, isn't it?'
Second one says, 'No, it's Thursday!'
Third one says, 'So am I. Let's go get a beer.'

Happy Chinese New Year!

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Chinese new year is here, i have a week off before the week of cny and gets to go off until the third day of CNY. Some of you might say it's a long holiday but not really as we have to mark the mid semester papers of the students. That..... has already taken up my whole week before the CNY, therefore all the shoppings were done last minute. Nevertheless, I had a fun and CNY by utilizing every second of it till the fullest.

The most impressive of them all was the night before the eve of cny, me and some friends gather for a drink and we then head straight on to sing Karaoke until 5 in the morning. ^-^ Those memories will definitely last me a lifetime!

Hope it's not too late to wish everyone "GONG XI FA CAI" !!!!!!!!!
